Is this a joke or what?

26 Feb 2010

Dear family and friends,

As we were walking past the Blue House (the White House of Korea) on our daily trip to the Mission Office, the President of South Korea, Lee Myung-bak, and his wife, happened to be out enjoying the warm weather. When they saw us strolling by, they invited us in for a short visit and refreshment. The kimchi was delightful as we discussed the affairs of Korea. Before leaving the Blue House, the secret service offered to photograph the four of us and drive us the rest of the way to the office.

If you would like to visit the President and his lovely wife, Elder Biesinger would be happy to schedule you.

Love,

Elder and Sister Biesinger

Editor's note: After I prepared this for posting, my wife informed me she had received an email from the Biesingers apologizing for this clever joke. I had always known the Biisingers to be very sober-minded. Other wise I should have caught on when I read the last paragraph, "If you would like to visit the President and his lovely wife, Elder Biesinger would be happy to schedule you."

You got me. I even sent it to Elder Ko who is now serving in the Philippines Area Presidency. This is a skillful piece of work Elder B!
