Bill and Ann Cranney are serving in Ghana. This is what Ann wrote and sent on 5 December 2009.  The picture is of Sister Ann Cranney at a vegetable market. Here touching recollection of a recent experience is reported below.

I want to share an experience I had on the way to Korlie-Bu. We were stopped in traffic, and had a wait. As I began to look at the hawkers on the side of the road, I noticed a young African man. He was about 16 or 17 years old. About Chanson, Jacob and Kaianas age. He was eating some of his candy that he sells. (Probably breakfast).

As I watched him, the Spirit was so strong, that I began to cry. My heart felt like it was going to break into pieces. I thought, how would I feel as a mother or grandmother if he was my child. I wanted to help, but didn't know how. My heart couldn't be consoled. He started to come toward our car, and then the traffic began to move, and I didn't have a chance to buy anything from him. I couldn't shake the feelings and was emotional all the way there. Then the thought came, that he is a child of Heavenly Father, and He will help him. I can't describe the peace I felt, and the tears stopped. It gave me great comfort. It is such a good feeling to know that the Lord is in charge and knows each of our needs. I feel that way about each of our grandchildren. If they are trying to be righteous, the Lord will bless them and make up the challenges that each cannot do for themselves. We need to do all we can first, then he will do the rest.
