Malta, Idaho

Marica Ann Livingston Hall, 71 of Malta, passed away with her family at her side Saturday, August 31, 2013.

Ann was born February 8, 1942, the only child of Thomas and Ellen Livingston. Ann was raised in Shrewbury, Mass., and attended Boston University. During her senior year in college, she met the Mormon missionaries and gained a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ann then served a mission in the Japan Tokyo Mission. After her mission, Ann attended BYU and later taught school in Utah. While teaching school, she met Marvin Hall, and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 17, 1971. They moved to Malta and had four children.

Ann was a kind person and a loving mother. She cherished her family and loved to see her grandchildren. Ann was musically gifted and loved to play the violin and piano. She taught violin and piano lessons in Malta for many years. Ann also played in the Magic Philharmonic Orchestra. Ann loved classical music and filled her home with it. She also enjoyed planting flowers in her yard, sewing, cross-stitching and reading. She had a cheerful countenance and sincerely cared for others.

Ann was partially paralyzed for the last seven years of her life. During this time, she continued to be an inspiration to her family and z joy to be around. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all who visited her in her time of trial. Ann loves the people of Malta.

Ann is survived by her husband, Marvin Hall; four children with spouses, Nathan and Sarah Hall, Christopher and Amanda Hall, Spencer and Sondra Hall, and Alicia and Glade Boldt; and sixteen grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Oliver Livingston, her mother, Ellen Caroline Livingston; and one grandchild, Stelan Branch.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept 6, at the Malta LDS Church, where a viewing will be held from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. Officiating will be Bishop Brad Hutchison. Burial will follow in the Valley Vu Cemetery.
